Overwatch 2 Players Discover Game-Breaking Venture Bug

Overwatch 2 players have uncovered a significant bug involving the new hero, Venture, which allows them to contest objectives while remaining underground. This isn't the first instance of a hero presenting a bug that disrupts the game's balance, as Overwatch 2 has faced similar issues since its launch.

Blizzard released Overwatch 2 in early access on October 4, 2022. Just a week later, heroes Bastion and Torbjorn were temporarily removed due to bugs affecting their abilities. The following month, Mei was disabled because of a bug with her Ice Wall. Earlier this year, Illari was temporarily removed due to a glitch that allowed her to shoot continuously. Overwatch 2's history is marred by glitches and bugs that frequently disrupt gameplay, and now, Venture is the latest hero to cause issues.

Players discovered a game-breaking bug with Venture's Burrow skill, enabling them to stay underground and contest objectives. Overwatch 2 streamer KraandopOW shared a clip on Twitter showing the bug in action. In the video, KraandopOW's team Mei uses an Ice Wall to help Venture emerge at a higher point on the map. However, instead of surfacing, Venture remains permanently underground, exploiting the bug to contest objectives unseen.

This new bug highlights ongoing challenges Blizzard faces in maintaining balance and functionality in Overwatch 2, as players continue to encounter game-disrupting glitches.
